Getting a healthy, high quality letter simply cannot be left up to chance.  Breeders recognize the importance of proper nutrition to achieve more healthy show quality litters.

Breeders have used the following protocol with outstanding success globally:

VitaSorb®  beginning 60 days prior to the bitch coming in season and every 2 weeks until the litter is born.  VitaSorb® allows for stronger heats, more high quality ova, thus more number one embryos.  (Incidentally, use on the male is recommended also to assist in acquiring more and higher quality sperm.)

The continued use of  VitaSorb® throughout the pregnancy is imperative to acquire strong, healthy, show quality puppies.

Let us now turn our attention to the bitch herself.  The use of Digestive Enhancer® is of extreme importance.  Digestive Enhancer® is a probiotic containing digestive enzymes, beneficial bacteria, antibodies, and beneficial yeast.  Digestive Enhancer® is responsible for extracting more protein, energy, vitamins, minerals, and fiber out of each and every bite of foodstuff.  This concept allows for more nutritional availability for the transitioning bitch and her litter.  The inclusion of beneficial bacteria on a daily basis also allows for the crowding out of negative pathogens.  The beneficial yeast crowds out the negative yeast species that also hinder Canine health.  The antibodies allow for what is called a gradual immunity to many negative pathogens.

A common problem with pregnant bitches is going off feed.  Digestive Enhancer® also serves as an appetite stimulant.  Maintaining an even appetite throughout gestation is imperative to nutritionally meeting the need of the bitch and her litter as it develops within the uterus.

Liquid Dispersible® can be interchanged with Digestive Enhancer® at any time.  The products are identical with exception of the carrier component.  Liquid Dispersible® uses whey protein concentrate while Digestive Enhancer® uses dried egg powder as it's carrier component.

Ultimate® delivers complete nutrition, in a very palatable bases of Parmesan cheese and Organic white animal fat.  Cancer preventing amino acids Lycopene and L Taurine are added to extend the quality and longevity of your dog.

First Litter Paste® & Whelping Booster Paste®.  Depending upon the number of litters your bitch has had determines which of these two products to use.  The transition from non - lactating to lactating bitch is a complex one.  The first litter bitch's body has not made this transition before, and deals with her inability to transform Calcium, Magnesium, Phosphorus, and Potassium to ready her body for parturition and lactation.  (First Litter Paste®)  The mature bitch, having had other litters before is usually in need of Calcium, Copper, and Zinc propionates.  (Whelping Booster Paste®)  If it has been over one year between litters, use the First Litter Paste®.  Follow the directions as to the correct dosage for your bitches weight found on the label of every tube.  A convenient dial - a - dose mechanism comes with each tube of First Litter Paste® and Whelping Booster Paste®.

►Administer the first dose at the end of month one of pregnancy.

►Administer the second dose at the first sign of whelping.

►Administer the third and final dose after the last puppy is born.

Canine Paste® is always good to have on hand to further stimulate appetite or to stop diarrhea for any dog, pregnant or not.

Canine Paste® is a combination of beneficial bacteria, digestive enzymes, and antibodies.  No serious dog breeder should ever be without at least one tube for emergency situations.

At birth, every puppy has a sterile gut and should receive a small quantity of Canine Paste® or Liquid Dispersible® to inoculate the digestive system with beneficial bacteria.  By administering Canine Paste®, you can avoid the establishment of negative pathogens in the otherwise sterile gut of your puppies.

Also at birth, administer a drop of VitaSorb® at the back of each puppies tongue to aid in boosting the immune system.  VitaSorb® is also extremely helpful if you are confronted with fading puppy syndrome.
